Article: Support Ron Paul's Tea Party Day Money Bomb

RP thinks that much of the danger comes from the fact that the US has bases in their country and that we are occupiers in their holy lands. If the chinese set up an OWS style camp at the Vatican with soldiers and guns you can bet that a lot of Christians would be upset.

RP makes a distinction between militarism and national defense. His argument is that we need to defend the borders of this country and not occupy countries or have bases in countries. He is in favor of developing technology that help secure the nation. A RP government would be in favor of developing a hypersonic craft to strike trouble spots quickly rather than setting up a base in a nearby country. Interestingly he is not too keen on the space program since we cant afford it. I bet that the Navy would be benefit from his policies since they are general purpose bases that can be deployed to parts of our country and others in times of war.

Some argue that his opposition of the Patriot Act and other forms of intrusive government monitoring means that he does not see radical Islam as a threat. He has never said that the the three letter agencies would stop investigation these folks. He does not want to lump the 99.9999% percent of Americans who are not terrorists.....the police don't have the right to monitor us without a warrant.

But RP doesn't see islam as a clear and present danger to OUR Country? is this REALLY Northeast shooters?

He acknowledges [radical jihadist] islam as a potential threat, but knows that an economic collapse is the clear and present danger to national security - one which has a near certain chance of happening on the current course (so he thinks that is the top priority).

His foreign policy is a Constitutional one. If the Congress decides a nation is a threat, and so declares War, President Paul will execute his duty - bringing the full might of the US military down upon the enemy, winning the war, and then bringing the troops home. No nation-building nonsense, and no quasi-wars that flout the Rule of Law.
