I was just thinking back to the mid/late 90's when I was a young Liberal.
I remember all the reports winding up to and durring the AWB.
I remember thinking an AK-47 might be the most powerful gun on earth (The news showed a guy breaking cinder blocks and watermellons, like it was somthing really impressive).
I remember hearing NRA mentioning that "Assault Weapons" could be used for hunting. I rememer laughing and saying "Yeah what would be left??!!" I had no idea what a .223 was
I remember asking my father what "Semi-Auto" meant....and he had no idea (FYI, when I first took apart my 1911, and I had some trouble getting it back together **slidestop** I wished I had the dad my friends have, that could have talked me through it)
What else where you fed by the people who claimed to be delivering the "truth" to us?
