Police say a jewelry store robbery suspect fatally shot his partner Friday in Phoenix.

Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said two men entered the Joyeria Princess jewelry store near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road around 10:15 a.m., then a third entered the store.

As the owner was showing the first two men some jewelry, they pulled out handguns and jumped over the counter to where the victim was standing, Thompson said.

Thompson said as the store owner tried to keep the suspect's gun away from him he pulled out his own gun......
