FYI for Fryeburg Fair goers.

It’s a GFZ using metal detectors at all gates. They say it’s always been a no weapons venue but detectors are now in place.

It’s so easy to defeat a metal detector if you even bother to try… on top of the fact you can just walk around it. You can throw something over a fence and then just go pick it up. It’s security theater.

Then there’s a nuclear option where you can just shoot your way
 
Never mind the amount of diversionary theatrics you could employ.. the majority of minimum wage guards don’t even care anyway..

Most of these people aren’t even doing it on purpose they don’t even realize.. put on a big cowboy belt and then ask, Do you want me to take this off? I have to say about 90% of guards aren’t gonna make you do it.

Probably why I’m unemployed because the first thing I say is OK take your shoes off, like that Had anything to do with it to begin with..

I can’t wait for my next job. I’ll fit in perfectly at the government.
 
Some number of years ago I went to something or other at the TD garden. Since it involved walking through Boston I threw my 642 into the pocket holster. I got there and was surprised to see security with wand metal detectors. I had no option but to walk through and it went off.

The kid looked at me and I said yep it's exactly what you think it is and just stared at him. He waved me through.
 
I’ve had no problem carrying knives through just about any metal detector short of what they use at the airport. Haven’t tried a gun yet.
 
That does it for me I won't be going. The killer for me is they want you to leave them in your vehicle.There will be a lot of vehicles broken into in the parking lots💩😡
No more 2nd amendment right🇺🇸

I also won't be going. This is ridiculous and I don't know where fryeburg is anyway
 
Having a bunch of hardware in my arm is always convenient when they have metal detectors but no wands. Just show them my scars and ask if they want me to remove my arm, or if I'm good to go.

Went to Tunbridge last week- they had "no weapons" signs (with pictures of guns and knives), but no metal detectors.
What is this "girlie" tent you speak of that I missed out on?

Both fairs used to have an adult entertainment tent but those went away in the early 70s. For the farmers who never got into the big city.
My college roommate was from Fryeburg and we attended in 1971. [thumbsup]
 
Another good one too, is the most shady establishments have metal detectors
Show up wearing a suit… don’t even acknowledge the security guards. They may ask you something like do you have any weapons? Just say no and keep walking.

I was casing this place just to see what it was like because I wanted to work there, I may…


It always helps to bring somebody who looks like a hooker…

There must be 1 million ways to defeat security I got to get on a plane in a few hours

The other diversionary tactics, you can keep screaming about how somebody stole your cocaine… in reality they just lost my luggage and my cocaine just joking
