The problem is, we pay a lot of people not to work, who don’t want to work anyway. They get bored, feel a sense of entitlement, want the good things in life, and then turn to crime to get them.
As long as they stayed in their neighborhoods, assaulted and stole from one another, it was just the same old, same old - politicians giving lip service.
When BLM/Antifa started marching outside the neighborhoods, Democrats had to up the appeasement and bribery to keep the peace.
The next problem is, it’s more expensive to attain equity if you live beyond your means. Nobody was looting the goods the middle class spends on daily living essentials, they were looting expensive sneakers and electronics - luxury goods. To keep the have-nots up with the Jones costs way more than the Jones make.
Hence, equity AND reparations - not equal pay for equal work, but money to achieve equity in lifestyle - plus payback for sins of the past.
The rich and powerful will not rob from the rich and powerful and give to the poor. They will bleed the middle class down to meet the poor halfway.
The next problem is, the Progressives will punish Conservatives and elevate the masses who vote for them. Until they no longer need votes. That’s the transition from Socialism to Communism that the Biden Administration is trying to accelerate.
