Bayonet lug

Attempted to cut off my first bayonet lug today in the name of compliance. I know it’s not that hard but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Permablue is in the mail. If I only could figure out how to weld I’d be all set

Welding is easy. Just do your best and grind the rest.

Finished product. Started hitting it with 150 grit sandpaper to get the big stuff out of the way and finished it off with 400 grit before bluing it
