belmont/watertown area gun club

Looking for a club that is around the belmont - watertown area thats about half hour away. Just looking for a club to shoot and leave, don't need a fishing for hunting club. If anyone can help, would be much appercated.

There's Boston Gun club in Dorchester, Braintree Rifle in Pistol, and Mass Firearms Training in Waltham.

When I lived in Belmont, these were the two we belonged to. 30 min to either one

When I lived in Waltham and Belmont I was a member of Maynard Rod and Gun. This was many years ago. It was a good club then but I really don't know much about it now. It maybe worth checking out.

The closest clubs are likely to be:

Mass Rifle in Woburn
Woburn Sportsman's in Bedford
Wayland Rod & Gun Club in Wayland

Harvard Sportsman's is an awesome club, but 30 minutes from Watertown? Unlikely. More than 45 minutes without any traffic. I live in Wayland and it takes me at least 45 minutes to get to Harvard.

Maynard Rod & Gun Club is at least 15 minutes farther out than Wayland. Riverside Gun Club in Hudson is another 15 minutes or so past Maynard.

Braintree has awesome facilities, but getting across Boston can be a bear.

It's actually in Bedford . . . funny, it's two towns away from Woburn but it must have been Woburn folks that started it. Probably not much land left in Woburn to start a club at the time.​

Many clubs are not in the town that's in their name. IIRC, WSA moved, due to encroachment and development. Southboriugh Rod & Gun Club has always been in Hopkinton, but was, indeed, founded by Southborough people.
