I have a fixed sighting system on my Beretta 92. Wanted to know of what I can do to get adjustable sights installed. I cant find any upper/ slide assemblies to swap out the fixed for the dovetails, and didnt know if there were any gunsmiths out there who know either A where to swap out the slides, or B how to remove fixed and install adjustable rear sight at least. Thanks in advance for the advice

are these sights field replacable or do I need a gunsmith ?? I was under the impression that my 92 was fixed sights on the slide and therefore would need to be ground off .

I can't speak about older 92's, but the newer 92's have a dovetailed rear sight with a fixed front. I really like the adjustable sight referenced above on my 90-Two which also has a dovetailed front.
I replaced the sight myself. Just remember that the existing sight MUST be drifted out from right to left and the new sight installed from left to right. If in doubt, send it out.
