so i got a beretta 96D from my wife's uncle and i would like to convert it from .40 s&w to .22lr . i found ciener or what ever his name is on the web for $200 but im very very weary, so i guess my other question is the 96d doesn't have a safety and the back of the hammer is flush to the end of the slide assembly and the 22 conversion kits i find have safeties and a non flush hammer. im a relative newb so any help would be cool thanks in advance

for 200 bucks and aggravation go buy a nice used .22LR pistol. A use Ruger MK1 or 22/45 can't be much more than 200 bucks

I've been looking the walther p22 I'm still reading reviews. I've seen the newer posts one the gun seem better than older ones due to problems with it so I guess they have worked out the bugs so to speak have you any experience with the p22?
