I went out to the range today to test out a couple new guns I picked up last week an old Mauser and a new Bersa thunder 380 dual tone which I bought to replace my cz83 that I sold and miss. I was extremely impressed with the inexpensive little pistol it is a lot more then I though it would be and wanted to spread the buzz.

The Bersa which I picked up for $270 brand new is a great little gun I put 100 rounds through it without a problem . I was expecting wide sloppy groups but the little bugger shot just as tight as my glock 17 from 15 to 20 yards . Overall I have to say I like the Bersa more the the cz83 that i had it shot just as tight if not tighter then the CZ , the cz83 had quite a few jams when new Bersa had none, the Bersa is smaller and fits in a pocket , the Bersa trigger is heavier on a DA pull but feels a little smoother and is lighter and smother on SA. The CZ did have the edge in capacity 13 rounds compered to 7 in the Bersa , and the CZ also had a nicer blued finish and looked cleaner . The CZ also came with 2 mags only 1 came with the Bersa. But the trade off in capacity is well worth the easier concealability and lighter weight.

If your looking for a light weight small summer carry gun take a look at the Bersa it might not be for you but It fits me great, shoots great, is reliable and is quite accurate. All this and under 300 bucks I do recommend it big time

I'd like to get a brand new Bersa but I'm in MA, I used to drive by the manufacturing plant once a week for a year and never realized I'd want one so bad one day. I have heard that their Thunder in 9mm is a good buy making a lot of people happy. Enjoy!!!
