Hey guys, just picked up my first Glock, a Glock 17 Gen 4. So far I'm planning on replacing the stock trigger connector with a Ghost 3.5lb. I'd also like to change out the plastic guide rod for something heavier to reduce muzzle flip. Any other suggestions on mods? Thanks in advance.

Do the trigger (I have a Ghost 3.5 in my 21SF and love it) but I refuse to believe that a heavier guide rod will have any appreciable impact on shooting feel.

Lightning strike titanium striker, new sights, and the 3.5 connector.

And tons of ammo.

Just ordered the guide rod adapter, and stainless guide rod for mine, allowing a standard Gen3 guide rod setup.

The gun is perfect stock. All that needs to be changed are the sights.

+1 on the sights and connector. After that, spend all your money on extra magazines, ammo, belt, holster, and mag holders. Forget about replacing the guide rod, just spend $6 to replace the stock one every 3 years or so.

The beauty of the Glock is that it really doesn't need any mods.
-Cuz.

just got a gen 4 G26 yesterday, my first gen 4, i like it alot. definitely going to get sights, i have the tritium night sights on my 23 and forgot how much the stock glock sights suck

The only upgrade I will ever make to my glock 17 is a FA endplate when the Hughes Amendment get repealed/overturned. Other than that....its perfect as is.
