when the VP of engineering goes on vacation again i have been promised one of the AR mags. remember the 3D printer ones from some time ago? i passed the engineers the plans and begged for one because it's so cool!

Sure, you "made" the receiver, same concept as the "roll your own" cigarette stores. It shouldn't be long until we all own Makerbots that can do the same thing, and also self-replicate.

When I was looking into building up an 80% forging into a lower I came across a thread on Arfcom where someone was running these kind of build parties. The shop would take your forging and set it up in their machining center and let you hit "run" and watch it go. ATF shut them down hard. No sense of humor, those boys.
