The DB is very tiny. But like you said it's not pleasant to shoot.
The G42 is so nice to shoot that I started reloading .380 for it. Prior to that I had shot about 800 rounds through my LCP in 7 years. With the 42, I was burning through 150 rounds each range trip. But like I said above, it was too big to be an "always" gun.
By an "always" gun, I mean something small and light enough to wear in sweats when I'm at home or in gym shorts if I'm out running.
The Kahr and the diamond back are that small. Though I'm pretty sure the Kahr shoots better.
No matter what anyone says, there IS a place for a gun the size of the Diamond Back or the Kahr, or the P3AT or even the Seecamp 380. All are so tiny there is no excuse not to carry.
The Max, and Bodyguard 2.0 are a bit larger, mainly in width and weight. (partly because a loaded gun holds 11 rounds not 7). The Glock is a step up from there.
