Bodyguard 2.0

I would think Mass would require the one with the safety, if that’s the case I’m out

If you don't want to use the safety, don't, I guess that solves that. The 2.0 is light years ahead of the original bodyguard. I don't mind the original as I've used it enough to know both staging points of fire, reset. I like it for the very reason it's hated, a very looooooooong trigger pull as I just throw it in my front pocket. I.E., I kinda like my dick where it is, you know, OEM. The 2.0 is so much better than the original albeit it's a hair bigger by .2" length and .04" in width but the design gives you a much better hold that's lower than the original if aiming is your game and can also hold up to 12 rounds. The take up is about 1/4" due to it being striker fired as opposed to the original double action from rest to fire and it has a block on the guard to restrict you from going any further, sort of like a trigger set screw but built in.

The 2.0 is not on the roster yet, that would have been a pre-10/2 purchase, or there have been a few in the classified here

I’ll stay with my tried and true Glock 42. It feels like a small full size rather than the pocket feel of the BG IMO. 7 round flush fit magazine and I’m good to go

Yeah well, maybe I should take mine back then. On the 7 round flush fit, that's nice but the BG 2.0 is 10 rounds flush fit. Optional 12 with the pinky extension, that I don't have due to being MA.

"The gun you have is better than the gun you left at home..." :) I wasn't a .380 fan, but this has changed my mind. Just vanishes so many ways when I can't easily carry my other EDC and would have not carried anything. Often, i find myself grabbing it out of reflex I tried the 1.0, and the 2.0 is a whole different world. Plus now the wife wants one as her first gun after handling it.

I was sure I wanted the Bodyguard 2.0 after watching lots of Youtube videos claiming it was the best things since sliced bread. Yes, it's a totally different beast than the original gun. It's way, way better. But I shoot .380 because of physical limitations to my right hand and wrist. I went to Manchester Firing Line to try the 2.0 a few weeks ago. I will NOT be buying one when they become available. It's much more difficult to rack the slide and has much more recoil than my G42. I'm speaking only to those folks that shoot .380 because of age or disability, you might want to try it before you buy it.
