It's nothing new, try sitting pond side with a camera and see how fast the cops show up.

Awhile back photography was a hobby of mine and I'd head out after work(3rd shift) to decompress from the BS. There was this one park I'd visit(4 of the 9 species of Herons in Ma. would frequent it) and set up pretty much as deep into it as one could viewing across the pond, away from anyone that would be in the park area(not that there was usually anyone else there at that time of morning). I'd plant myself in a cluster of small trees, drop two of the legs of my tripod in the water and wait. After a bit the local wildlife would settle down and act as if I wasn't there enabling me to get shots like this.

With a set up like this(add an additional 6 inches or so for the lens hood), not exactly stealthy.

Very much so. I stopped going to Mt Auburn Cemetery in the late 90's. The birding was incredible, and other birders would keep a dry erase board of current sightings rear the entrance under a hut. Such a shame.

I did not get a conviction on anything I have on my record,hence the reason I was able to get my LTC. ...

I know about 4 people with an LTC that have stuff on there record worst than me but they got there ltc. A conviction is a conviction and if your not convicted of something then I guess it does not matter...but anyways the only thing I was worried about was if past restraining orders would come back to haunt me but from what I have read?it will only be for issues that happen once the bill was signed into place and anything there after..so hopefully I'm good..

Also I went through about 15 background checks since my licence with purchasing firearms and even though I wait the full brady date everytime I buy a gun and dont ever get a reply(except one time it only took me 2 days to get a response),I'm still able to get my firearm.in fact I'm waiting on a nics check right now..so I would imagine they would have spotted something a while ago if that was the case...

disqualifying convictions for the very first time.

Another failure mode is for some IRA dude (or Norwegian grandmother)
to make a splash in the terror marketplace,
and suddenly everyone else with the same name may gets hiccups in their NICS checks.

Some people withhold their middle name and SSN from their 4473's
because they don't trust gun store employees not to steal their identity.
Other people provide as much information as possible to minimize the chance
that their gun buy will get delayed or denied because there's a criminal out there
with the same first and last name.

Yeah you nailed the hammer on the head! Without giving too much info about me I'm from Fall River, and there is someone with the same exact first and last name as me, and we are the same age, we went to the same school as kids, and he was a trouble maker, and still is a trouble maker. So I believe that's the reason I have a waiting period everytime. either that or it's because I have a sealed record..so I need to get off my ass and get a upin so this don't keep happening everytime I purchase a firearm...

Daughter was bounced out of housing, moved in with BF, who's she's married to now.

I watched and saw the impact of how this is misused with one of my neighbors kids. He was living with this girl and had a kid together. She wanted to leave him to shack up with another dude so she put together enough evidence to say he was abusive. He only owned one single gun, a hunting rifle, so they came and took it. She knew he loved hunting and I'm quite positive she wanted to hurt him. She won custody of the kid as the mother and moved in with the other guy. So she moves in with this other guy along with their son. Fast forward a year or two and she's now living in a crack house and is on track to becoming a flow blown addict. Meanwhile this guy spends thousands of dollars trying to clear his name and get the restraining order removed. Fast forward to today and he finally won his legal battle to get the kid away from the addict-ex, has full legal custody and the 209A is lifted. Still his name and reputation have been irreparably harmed by this addict chick who was rolling him to get more money for drugs. No point in suing an addict because what will be the result? See good person damaged, bad person gets away with it.

I'm not saying that domestic violence doesn't happen, but I wonder how much isn't actual domestic violence but revenge. Even if it's just 5%, that's 5% of the people who are going to be denied their civil rights because of complete BS. If you ask the left they will say 'sucks for that 5%, they made bad life choices, blah blah blah'. Basically no empathy at all to the downtrodden and falsely accused. I guess the conservative opinion at least according to the republicans in the senate is the same thing. Sucks to be you.

I can see that the laws need to evolve with society, I guess: people just aren't getting married anymore, for a host of reasons, but that doesn't mean they're not at some level committed, or in love, or whatever. "Families" and "couples" just don't look the same as they used to.

But the devil's in the details. The proposed definition in the statute about what "dating" means is just begging to be taken to court. But then, that's how our system works.

On the fringe of a dubious “dating" partner DV potenatural denial is a dubious Red Flag order. I expect the legal profession will evolve specialists in that continuum. There’s little profit for a lawyer to skim unless the $billions in other program money supports DV programs with legal aid.

They might have well just called it the "N***er loophole" frankly, it should be just as offensive as saying that, it's just that nobody says anything because its PC to shit on males generically for anything.

Reminds me of this news thing where I saw some guy was trying to save an errant/escaped toddler from getting smoked bycars on a busy highway, He didn't just run into the street and grab the kid, he parked his truck on the side of the road with hazards on and cajoled the kid into somehow going back where he came from.... but he didnt want to get close to the kid lest he got "accused of something" which these days is a very real possibility.

Our society is so f***ed now that generic, default hatred of men is "just accepted".

This is legit a concern I now live with daily. I didn't realize just how bad it is until I had a kid. Now I worry about some idiot Karen going full apeshit on me about abducting a kid any time I take my infant daughter to the park or shopping or whatnot without the wife around. It's literally game over if that happens because all the idiots around you will automatically side with the Karen because you're a man with a kid, and society says that means you're automatically up to no good.

I'm honestly surprised the dude trying to get the kid out of traffic wasn't automatically accused of attempted kidnapping.

You can't get everyone on your side unless you divide them and make them believe they are against each other. I had a business partner that was a MASTER at this. He would secretly divide everyone in the office and have everyone secretly coming to him for advice. How I missed it I'll never know. It was 2 years of torture. I couldn't see it until the other side but I'll never miss it again.
