Brand new sig, yay! Slide finish problem, boo?

I picked up a brand new sig p239 today in 9mm.
I took it down to give it a good cleaning, and I think there is a problem with the finish on the slide. On the end, it It seems to be a (glaring) potentially serious issue - it looks like a big section of the black finish is simply missing from the interior of the slide. This is surprising since it seems so obvious, so I just wanted to check in to see if I'm missing something and this is actually ok.

Lots of them come that way now. Call Sig and see what they will do for you. It sucks but it is par for the course.

I got a P226 like that once a few years back. They asked me to send in the slide and they made it as good as new, nice customer service.

Sig's QC has been in the s**ter the last few years. Call and have them make it right.

Let us know what they say - I've been contemplating a Sig 226. That to me is completely unacceptable.

That is why I look for the old folded slide guns. They have a little more soul than the new ones.
