The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office is seeking individuals for the position of Corrections Officer. Corrections Officers are required to maintain care, custody and control of inmates in a correctional institution for men and women.
Qualifications: Applicants must be 19 years of age or older, high school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. They must meet the requirements to obtain a pistol permit. Applicants will be subject to a written exam, physical fitness test, oral board, and complete background check. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required. EOE/AA
Applications can be either downloaded from our website, www.bsheriff.net ; or picked up at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility, 6000 Sheriff’s Place, Bourne, MA. Please include a copy of your Mass. driver’s license and birth certificate with your completed application. Applications will be due by October 24, 2014.
