Browning stopped making parts for pre 2000 Buckmarks.

After unsuccessfully searching the country for a firing pin I called Browning and they told me they are no longer making parts for pre 2000 buckmarks . They told me that the only thing you can do is buy a new style slide and all the new parts to convert it . For your inconvenience they are offering (for a limited time) a slide and parts kit for older Buckmarks for $55. They are on back order right now and do not know when you will get yours. So for anyone who loves there Buckmark as much as I do you should get on the backorder list before it costs $150 plus to convert it to the newer style. Or order anything you think you might need before its all gone.

I've tried unsuccessfully for about a year to find the "old style" mags for my Buckmark (mfg. 1994). Thanks for the heads up.

I recently got a couple at Basspro $24 each I think.

I love being inconvenienced, especially when it involves indeterminate shipping dates.
I guess I will be calling them today, since I do love the buckmark.
