Well, no more Mass buck tags. Was just getting read to get down and this guy came trotting in on a mission to find and doe and walked right under my stand. At 8 yards I took a quartering away shot and he took off and I watched him pile up about 70 yards away. Was a good morning. He has a drop tine on the right with velvet still on it which is cool. He’s not a young deer but crappy genes by the look of it. My cabelas digital scale read 160 and my old school scale said 159.

For the last 15 years or so I have been trying placing a game cam trying to get the kill shot on camera and I now have it twice. Timing has to work out perfect. I should probably set the cameras to video in retrospect :)

Nice work!! Not only for this years buck but also the wall mounting.
Question, what method did you use to get the skull cleaned off and to get the complete whiting of the bone? I'm interested in that as I'm sure a few others may be. Thanks

There is a guy in Florence MA named Gary Hicks who does Euro mounts. I dropped them off for him to do them. He boils and cleans them and then bleaches them. The barn board came from him also. He does nice work. You can find him on Facebook. I have done my own Euro's in the past, it's a lot of work so I opted to outsource these ones :)
