Have ordered forms for a C&R licence (sites as found on J&G site)

Im born in the USA, live in NH, have a CCL and an absolutely clean record - lets see how long it takes to get the forms, send them in, receive my FFL03, buy a milsurp weapon, document it, clean it up, and take it to the range and fire it ... any idea on total time to fire?
or even how long before they send me the forms? the clock (calendar) is ticking now, my guess is by the Forth of July?

I will post any developments and/or hassles encountered - hopefully all will go well (and before the Dems change the laws)...
(i do collect milsurp now and have a few items (USA, Soviet/era) , no Allies or Axis stuff as yet)
 
You no longer need the 5330.20, as it's integrated into the F7CR now.

My time from ordering the forms to first lead downrange was about two months.
 
I also recently sent my application in. Jan 2 to be specific. I recieved my application back in july 08, they sent me 2! I belive it was about 10 days after I ordered forms.
I called the ATF branch of boston prior to mailing my application to check if the fee was still 30.00. I then asked him about how long? He kinda laughed and said there is only a handfull of people working the C&R applications. Which he also said are on the rise.
 
They were probably being safe and not trying to give you false hope. 3 weeks has been the norm for years.
 
Although I recieved my FFL03 C&R license, I still have not recieved the "packet" That is stated on the license "should recieve sortly" I called the ATF licenseing branch, " If you recieved your license you will get the packet" When? " that I cant confirm"
 
C&R forms finally arrived - filled out and double checked all the fields (Valentines Day!) - copy to local PD chief today and to ATF (mail) Tuesday (Monday Holiday) - lets see how long this takes... (process started 1/14/09)
 
I am familiar with the benefits of the C&R license, but there is a little voice in the back of my mind that keeps telling me that our enlightened leaders here in the socialist state must have found a way to at least blunt those benefits, if not negate them entirely.

Is the C&R as good a deal in MA as it is in the real world?

Many distributors have stopped shipping and more are dropping like flies.[sad]

You can save cash in dealer discounts from major parts and accessory suppliers and find a dealer here and there that still ships but it ain't like it used to be.

My prediction is before long I'll be using my stack of copies to wipe my ass as thats all they'll be worth thanks to the Massachusetts Nazi Party.

Thanks for the input. It seems that there is still some benifit to obtaining a C&R here in the bastion of liberty. Certainly not as much as I had hoped.

There are plenty of dealers in the area who sell C & R. It's definitely worth it.
There are also plenty of mail order who WILL ship here. You just have to experiment to find them

You don't have to order from out of state though. Whatever you want you can find here.
 
they took the $30 (2/24/09) yet no C&R or reject note?

WTF - seems like a LONG time !!! should i call the ATF (any info?) [frown]
 
Call them at 404-417-2750 and ask what the status of your application is. Did they hit your card for the fee yet?
 
called the 404 number today - they gave me my Ref Number and said to expect 60+ days delay... (from the 2/26/09 date) - oh well, at least they did not lose my application!!!
 
Call them. When I called they connected me with my examiner. My examiner told me that my card was charged and I was put into the system, but my app never made it over to her desk. I made copies before I mailed it and was allowed to fax them over for her to finish processing.
