My mother was going through some of my dads things. She came across this, and doesn't know if it's real or a toy..

This is what's on the barrel. Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass Apr 8-55 July 5-59 Dec 18(can't read last numbers)

But reads 132187

Smith& Wesson Model 1 break action. Is it a .22?

I believe it is. You have to take the cylinder out to load it.
No trigger. Looks like you cock the hammer and let it drop...
