I am looking at trying to become a member of a club here on Cape Cod and would like any suggestions or input. I am interested in pistol & rifle shooting but would also like to be involved in other activities and helping out with functions. I live in Mashpee so would like to stay on the Cape. I shot in Monument Beach Sportsmans club IDPA match a few weeks ago. They had a great outdoor set up. I'm not sure about the rest of it though.

Mashpee/Sandwich/Falmouth area is lean in regards to gun ranges. There are some (see the ones listed above) but they focus on shotgun and not rifle/pistol ranges. Membership is either closed or there is a waitlist. Monument Beach looks to be the best but there is some serious FUD action going on there that prevented me from even applying. I ended up joining Sippican in Rochester. It is a 45 minute ride but it is nice and quiet, comfortable and the people I have met so far are great.
