Hi everybody,

I just wanted to share a few of my Glock 19 pictures with you. Up until recently, I was using grip decals for my grip surface. They worked, however I had dependability concerns after the edges started to peel after hours of use and abuse.

Therefore, I sent my frame to Lane Owens at Cold Bore Customs for an enhancement. He added 'Carry Texture' to the grips frame, making it permanent and dependable. The texture feels great in my hands, traction is excellent, and is gentle against skin which is great for concealed carry purposes.

In my opinion, Lane does fantastic texture work to polymer frame pistols of all kinds. He seems to have a great reputation, and I can see why after the business I did with him. He was very courteous with communication, timely with turnaround time, professional, and very cost effective. Not to mention he turns out a great end result.

I highly recommend Lane Owens at Cold Bore Customs for polymer frame pistol grip enhancements. You can check out his website at www.coldborecustom.com

Thanks for listening.

Looks interesting, I'll take a look at their site.

Did that come FDE from GLOCK or did you have it done by someone?

I'm afraid I don't understand your question. The texture work was done by Cold Bore Customs, not by Glock.
I apologize if you are asking about something else.

Think they could do my H&K .....I was going to order those stkck on grips from
hogue..but that looks sweet.

Yes I was asking if the frame came from GLOCK in the Flat Dark Earth color. I was under the impression that OD Stands for "Olive Drab" as in green. That looks brown/tan to me.

It's OD from Glock. The pictures were taken in a room with yellow lighting, and I played a little bit with the brightness/contrast in Photoshop. But you're right it does look more of a dark earth in those pictures.

I kinda wish it was. ;)

I honestly don't. I'm only assuming that they don't sell as well as the black. It's a shame because I think the OD looks awesome and so do plenty of others.

Good thing I got my OD 17 when I did. It took almost 3 months after I ordered it for it to come in. I swore they had to actually produce the frame for my gun for the order beause it took so long. lol

does yours look green or brown like the OP's in pictures?
In some pics I take, OD, in others, FDE.. it is all about the lighting when the pic is taken.

In real life they all look OD Green. It is VERY common for the OD Glock frames to look FDE in pictures. It has made for a lot of chat about this topic on GlockTalk.com in the past, and I'm sure if you search Google pics for OD Glocks you'll find a bunch of pics that look like they are FDE. It got a lot of people interested and excited thinking there were FDE Glocks out there, but with no such luck. Only OD Glock pics, that "in the right light" look FDE..

Interesting, I've seen some of those chats on GlockTalk, haha. That's too bad GLOCK's not making them any more, I was hoping to pick one up when I get into a free state, I guess there's always Duracoat and the like.

Even if you don't get one brand spankin' new, there are still PLENTY of OD's floating around. I believe OD was made for every variation of 3rd generation Glock, which adds up to a lot.

Good luck in the search. ;)
