I have a Lonewolf timberwolf frame that I want to build in to a G17 of 34. I'm in need of a slide and trying to weigh my options. I've had nothing but positive dealings with Lonewolf thus far and may go that route but every time I check the site it says back order with a date, then that date passes and a new back order date is listed (I understand why, just getting sick of waiting). Have any of you fine individuals had any experience with Caspian? They look decent (a lil too shiny) but how is over all fit and finish? Any issues that stand out? Or can you send my attention to/ recommend another manufacturer?

Thanks, Drew

That's sweet,I never new some one sells "glock frames" now if I could find a FFL .
Im a 1911 guy and want a double stack,
I was looking for a Ffl to get a para frame sent to but the seller backed out.

Guess I'll have to learn about glocks and see if I can make a .45acp from one.

Lonewolf designed their own frame similar to CCF raceframes. They're not true "glock frames" but I like the ergonomics (similar to the 1911) and they're definitely a viable option.

Caspian produces some of the finest firearm parts available anywhere. Some of the biggest name makers source parts from Caspian arms. I have seen their slides on a couple of Glocks and they look great. You really can't go wrong.

Thanks for the input!

So is it possible to build a "Non-Glock"

A "Glock" that does not use any Glock parts at all. Are any of its parts not available in the aftermarket?

I believe every part can be had in the aftermarket. The only exception may be the locking block (which doesn't have to come through Glock).

Im interested in the same thing SJan, because i would love to fully build a G34 from the Timberwolf frame, the LWD slide, and a match barrel....Is this possible guys?

Dom

This was my original intent except I wanted to do a G35 for USPSA.

This can be done the problem is it is very expensive, A frame is not a gun in Mass. and these frames were never guns so it should be OK if you can find an FFL that will take the chance.
If you want to build a Glock or have a custom one built for you it is do-able. Just like having a custom 1911 built for you or AR building. It will just cost you a lot more money then purchising a Glock from a dealer or a privet sale, and it will not be a Glock only Glock can brand their guns Glock. It will be a Lonewolf or a CCF these are the only two compianies I know of manufacturing Glock style frames. As far as a used Glock frame this having been a gun once good luck finding an FFL that would do that transfer and by the way Glock does not sell new frames.

Para gunmith frame kits require a lot of fitting. I built a para P 16 on a gunsmith frame. Came out great but took a long time to fit. Not sure I would do it again.

Lonewolf is currently saying that a 10mm/45acp frame will be out next year.
