**** Medal of Honor Monday . . . and Happy Labor Day!

On this day in 1929, a hero is born. Charles Calvin “Charlie” Rogers would go on to earn the Medal of Honor for his bravery in Vietnam. Today, he is the highest-ranking black American to receive the Medal.

Clearly a lead by example commander, unlike so many leaders in Vietnam who directed their operations from their air conditioned trailers at Long Binh. Used to fly over the trailer park
and see their BBQ's smoking enjoying their steaks and lobsters. Sorry.......couldn't help but mention it.
