The CEO of Gunsite Academy has reported that Chuck Taylor has moved on to the big range in the sky.
He was a member of the "old guard" with Jeff Cooper and Clint Smith.
An interview with Reid Hendricks from 2018.

From Chuck's webpage:
With several thousand magazine articles and four books published on the subject of weapons and tactics, Chuck Taylor is an Adjunct Professor Of Police Science, Expert Witness and the first Four-Weapon Combat Master. A decorated Vietnam Veteran, he is also Airborne, Air-Assault and RANGER qualified, with additional qualifications in SWAT, Counter-Terrorist and Narcotics Operations.

An NRA-certified rifle/pistol instructor, former World-class IPSC competitor and U.S. Team member, he also holds NRA Expert ratings in Light Rifle, High-Power Carbine and High-Power Rifle. While on active military duty, he earned Expert ratings with the M-1911 .45 pistol, M-1, M-14, and M-16 rifles, M-60 machine gun and M-79 40mm grenade launcher.

Founder and Director of the American Small Arms Academy, Chuck was involved in the training of tactical personnel for three consecutive Olympic games and a number of both well-known and covert military/police units. He has long been recognized as one of the top trainers in the world, earning him international recognition, and was in 1996 & 1997 honored when the Swiss Army and Air Force formally adopted his handgun, submachine gun and assault rifle techniques, subsequently training over 300,000 of their personnel in their use.

In January, 2003,the Belgian Army followed, resulting in an additional 100,000 men receiving Chuck’s methods and, in February, 2003, two additional major European nations also began the process of adopting them.

He is now the only trainer in the world whose techniques have been adopted by the military forces of several major nations.

As a result, feature articles on him andCTASAA have appeared in publications such as AMI and FIRE! (Belgium), DEUTCHES WAFFEN JOURNAL (Germany), ACTION GUNS & Le CIBLE (France), the SWISS ARMY JOURNAL, ARMAS Y MUNITIONS (Spain), INTERSEC & INTERNATIONAL DEFENSE REVIEW (Britain), Guns & Ammo HANDGUNS, COMBAT HANDGUNS, SWAT, SHOOTIST, SPECIAL WEAPONS, GLOCKSTER (USA) and dozens of newspapers around the world.

His techniques are credited with saving the lives of hundreds of people, making him eminently qualified to comment on all aspects of the weapons, tactics and equipment discussed herein. Multiple commendations from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FBI, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Navy SEALs and a host of law enforcement agencies worldwide further attest to the efficiency of his methods.

Although well known as a top weapons & tactical instructor, writer and consultant, Chuck is also a highly successful big-game hunter with worldwide experience, including Africa and Alaska and is a recipient of the Safari Club International Top Ten Award. In his forty-plus years as a hunter, he's bagged more than a dozen record-book animals, including Rocky Mountain Elk, Russian Boar, White Tail, Sika, Fallow and Axis deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Catalina Goat and Corsican Ram. Of these world-class animals, ten were taken with a handgun, attesting to his skill as both a hunter and a marksman.
