Check the reviews of clubs here on NES (this sub-forum).
Go to GOAL.org under clubs and you'll find a list and web-links ot those that are GOAL-affiliated (plenty aren't

).
Review the info to see how well it matches what you are looking for.
Some examples:
- Canton F&G - don't know anything about it other than location.
- Sharon F&G - now has some onerous rules (per president: 5 rds max loaded pistol indoor range, 6 rds max loaded outdoor range, single-load only in concrete tube for CF rifle), has decent skeet and trap on Sundays.
- Westwood - nice outdoor range, no indoor range, some officers are on NES can can "fill in the blanks".
- Fin, Fur and Feather - down in Millis area, don't know any more about it.
- Massapoag Sportsmen's Club - big on registered skeet/trap matches, don't know any more info.
- Stoughton F&G - no info
- Braintree R&P - 2 indoor ranges (one is HEPA filtered, other is scheduled for total upgrade of HVAC system this year), archery, trap field, 50/100 yd rifle range, outdoor pistol ranges just renovated and re-opened 2 weeks ago, another 25/50 yd outdoor pistol range is being renovated currently.
- Holbrook Sportsman's Club - no info
- Mansfield F&G - 50 yd outdoor range where you can practice defensive tactics at any distance as long as you maintain proper safety procedures, 100 yd outdoor range. No indoor range (under construction, but will take a few years at least to complete).
- Independent (Foxboro) - looks like awesome shotgun sports, they have an outdoor rifle and pistol ranges, no indoor range.
The above is not complete by any means, just off the top of my head with limited info that I'm aware of.
You'll also want to scout out the "personality" of any clubs of interest. Some are more friendly to new folks than others. I know that I started a thread a few years ago here on "what to look for in a club" . . . it'll be worth your time to go thru that so you'll have some info to look for or questions to ask before plunking down your money.
Sundays are usually good days to drop by a club and scout out what they have and how friendly they are.
