I'm sick and tired of going to my club and finding out the ranges are closed due to no RO.
Are there any clubs without RO's in metrowest MA? I hate shooting inside, especially at the
club I belong to.

at Harvard sportsman club everyone is responsible for them selfs and everyone else. this makes everyone a range officer and I think it's the safest range i've ever been to.

Where do you live?

I commute to Harvard from Metrowest. The idea there is that everyone is an RO. I haven't been a member long, but have observed everyone watches themselves and each other (in a good way, not in a creepy Inquisition way).

Wayland Rod & Gun Club. The first person on the range is the RO. When he leaves, another member on the range becomes the RO. More info at http://www.waylandgc.org

PM me if you would like more info.

Be advised, however, that the VP is a jerk [wink]

in case you were wondering, I'm the VP

Westford and Harvard. No need for an RO. Everyone helps each other out if they seeing someone "slipping" and everyone seems to get along well.

Intersection of 128/9. I think you've been to my house! Remember the oscilliscope? [smile]
Ops, yes I remember, NOW.
I don't know any of the ranges near you, sorry.

Hope all is well!

Littleton Sportsman Club (littletonsportsmanclub.com). No Range Officers required to use the outdoor ranges, and none required for the indoor range after an orientation session. Just off I-495.

I go shooting somewhat often with Gerry Caruso @ Harvard. It's a really cool club, no RO's and they even have a machine gun range.

Braintree is reall nice dont get me wrong but the roofs being so low so you cant shoot over the berm distracts me and the RO thing always has me wondering. So far I havent had an issue with a RO not being there; it seems like they try to always have the place staffed which is nice. Hopefully they keep doing what they are doing.
