This would be for my SBR.
I don't want to shoot 22 through my standard AR so I bought a Colt Upper.
I think this would be better.

I just have a SSA trigger on the SBR so not going "auto" like this guy.

I want to blow through some ammo without breaking the bank.

Yeah 22lr SBRs are fun. I’ve got the 9.25" nordic components upper and freaking love it. Rise armament trigger works well.

bought it and love it! solid, high quality firearm. made a form 1 custom suppressor for it too- the suppressor is only about 1.5" longer than the stock length. waiting for it to return from being cerokoted and engraved with serial #, i also paid a bit more to have the banchee logo etched on the suppressor tube so it matches the rifle. this .22lr AR pistol is a blast to shoot! ❤ nh 😁

Cool always like 22lr for fun shooting. No SBR or Pistol ARs here but I do have a 16” Tactical Solutions dedicated AR upper on a lower with a RRA entry length stock. Its darn close to MOA shooter with “better” ammo.
Always wanted one of these also but my iron sight days are coming to an end.

What does it take to make an AR pistol?

Thinking of a .22LR pistol.
In MA, you need a finished weight <50oz. The usual work around is a fixed mag, but that would suck for a 22. (Unless you believe the AG office's claim that 22s are exempt from the AWB)

Yeah you could go the fixed mag route but that is lame as hell and would be annoying as hell.

I'm asking more out of curiosity than a driving desire to have one. Although I think it would be neat to have one in .22lr.

If it's a fixed mag for a 22lr ...... How u even reload😳
Exactly. Opening the upper from the lower every time to reload is just painful to even think about. It's beyond stupid IMO and not worth it just to have an AR pistol (even in 223, 300 BO etc). But to each their own.

Would that mean that the 25rnd CMMG Banshee 22ARC mags (22AFC25) are MA ok?

Whichever works. Is there a link to the "AG's arbitrary reinterpretation"?

The actual law allows for tubular mags for 22 that are larger than 10 rds.
She says in her FAQ that all 22s are exempt. There's less than zero reason to think her guidance is correct
