If you haven't ever shot a service rifle, or want to learn how to properly shoot from prone, sitting, and offhand (standing), I highly recommend this clinic.

OPEN TO: All shooters 16 years of age or older, JUNIORS ARE ENCOURAGED.
DATE: Saturday September 15th, 2012
TIME: The clinic starts at 8:30 AM sharp; please plan to arrive by 8:10 AM. Depending on the class
size and the weather, the class will end between 3pm and 5pm.
PLACE: W.S.A. Clubhouse, 155 Middlesex Tpk., Bedford, Mass.
ENTRIES: Advance registration required. Class limited to 18 entrants. Entry includes full payment
and completed entry form. See Note below.
Fee $40.00 (checks payable to Woburn Sportsmen’s Association) INCLUDES AMMO!
Junior Entry $10.00 (“juniors” are boy and girls 16 - 20 yrs. old)
FORMAT: The day will be split into a lecture in the morning (covering safety, major components of
the rifle, sighting, position shooting, competition rules, target handling, equipment, and scoring) and
familiarization firing – a practice match – at the 200-yard range in the afternoon.
IMPORTANT: Eye and ear protection is required: bring glasses and hearing protectors. Also, dress
for the weather! We will be outside for about 4 or 5 hours.
EQUIPMENT: Rifle and ammo provided. If you have your own AR-15 or M1 Garand or M1A and it’s safe, you may use that in the practice match. If you do, bring your own suitable ammo, about 60
rounds.
FOOD: Bring a bag lunch; there will be no lunch break (but you will have time to eat). Coffee and
donuts will be available. The Club has snack and soda machines. We will have plenty of water at the
range.
NOTE: Completion of the clinic satisfies the firing requirement of the Civilian Marksmanship
Program’s M1 Garand Purchase Program. (Details at the clinic.)
