Colt Lightweight Commander and +P loads

I have a Colt Lightweight Commander (manufactured in 1972)

Any concerns I should have in limited test firing a defensive loads

Super Vel 45 ACP 190 GR. JHP
Winchester 45 ACP 185 GR. SilverTip HP

Not in reasonable quantities.

That said, I've not seen too much need to go to lighter +P loads in .45ACP unless you're really concerned about intermediate barriers. The performance of quality 230gr standard pressure is quite satisfactory.
