Colt Official Police Revolver

I have in my hands a .38 special Colt Official Police that has been decommissioned with a plugged barrel and drilled cylinder. Can anyone tell what year it is from if I post the serial Number.

I'm hoping to find a replacement barrel and cylinder to get this thing firing again (I think I already have just unsure of the year of manufacture of this gun) so any info would be helpful.
