Cool find in the woods ...

Doing a little scouting and came across this find. Coyotes got him, but not before my camera did....

My coolest find this season was a arrow that I shot a doe with three years ago. I just happened to catch the end of it with my eye. All that was showing was the last 3/4"

What else was left? I assume 'Yotes make off with the marrow bones, and anything soft and squishy.

Not much left. His bottom jaw, a few scattered ribs and his pelvis with attached legs.

I honestly don't know. Judging by the front of the jaw it had "sharp pointy teeth" lol. I don't know what we would have down here that big except maybe the yotes.

This probably. Coyotes generally can't get at a healthy adult deer this time of year.

Yeah, you could check around what's left of the carcass for the arrow.

A few years back,I found this one heading in to the Rod & Gun club grounds,a week after deer season.Looked like he was hit by a car crossing the road,possibly during the peak of the rut.The remains started about thirty yards in from the road and were spread another 10 yards.When he was found,the remains had ben picked clean.
