The things we carry. Went to my unit AAR's to inquire and found our much loved platoon commander Captain 'Billie' Presson was shot through the head today by a sniper on extraction from a 'no contact' LZ. I later learned that Captain Presson had just returned from R&R in Hawaii where his wife had informed him she wanted a divorce. Capt. 'Billie' had the day off but chose to not to dwell on shite, so he took the mission. Kentucky native....I digress, though we miss him dearly, 55 years later
