**open to a .32 percussion rifle trade +/- cash **
As best as I can tell this is a custom flintlock rifle that came as a kit from the now defunked ‘Golden Age Arms’ in the early 90s.
I believe it’s a reproduction of a Ohio ‘Vincent’ type rifle that were originally made in percussion but a few were converted back to flint.
This one is a truly beautiful full stock made from what I think is curly cherry! The build is extremely well done. There’s no gaps around the inlaying.
The LOP is 14 1/4 inches.
The barrel is a york 7 groove 13/16 .45 cal
The lock is an L&R ‘John bales’ lefty lock.
The rifle is 4ft 11in OAL
The set trigger works as it should.
Left handed lock throws a good spark
Matching ram rod
Kits available now & comparable to this are $900+ just for the parts.
Looking at similar finished guns I found that prices really varied from $2,000-$6,0000
I’d like to get $1,500
Price drop $1250
I’m very willing to negotiate my price, if you feel I’m way off make me an offer.
or trade +/-$ for antique firearms (esp. chambered in 45colt/Schofield or 45/70)
Or percussion guns, especially a ruger old army 5 1/2 barrel fixed sight revolver.
FTF sale/trade in the Brookfield’s in central Massachusetts
I will follow all the laws like I’m supposed to.
