This is a Custom built rifle in 45-70 cal. Built on a 1903 Type 46 Siamese Mauser Action. Numrich Arms semi-heavy 26 ½” barrel. Modified Brownells bolt handle on original bolt, Fajen custom “Camo Laminated” stock. Has a model 1903 Springfield flip up rear sight which gives you options for distant shooting. Brownells front sporter sight. Receiver is tapped for Scope bases to add Optics/Red dot. Has a nice camo nylon sling too.
This was built by a N.H. Gunsmith back in the early 90s.
If you like the 45-70 cartridge, this is a fun shooter, accurate, especially with custom reloads. The action on this rifle is rated at 50,000 CUP like the Ruger No. 1 & 3. (See Ken Waters Pet Loads from May 1974 on this action or on line search will give you more info) This is pushing a 400 gr Speer Bullet at over 2000 fps. I prefer the 350 gr when loading.
Would make a great Bear rifle, Boar rifle. It is heavy and makes it a bench rifle best. I believe heavier than my M1 Garand. But with the rubber butt pad and weight it is not uncomfortable to shoot.
I hit the 12" steel swinging plate with this at my club at 100 yds and can keep it swinging till my shoulder needs a break. Time for someone else to have fun.
Price: 950.00 cash. Price Drop for cash: $750.00 ! ***Priced to move!***
Will consider trades at the $950.00 value. What do you have?
You will pay twice this price for a Ruger No. 1 and this will do everything the Ruger will do with extra rounds to spare. Price these and compare.
Terms: EFA-10 one of my dealers; Mass Armament Bellingham, Mass Firearms Holliston or GFA Arms Tec Natick.
