JUST PICKED UP A USED BUT IN GREAT SHAPE CZ 75 SP-01.DID NOT RELIZE IT HAS AN AMBI SAFETY. WOULD LIKE TO USE IN PRODUCTION. DOES NOT HAVE DECOCKER. IS IT OK TO MANUALLY LOWER HAMMER W/THUMB & FINGER W/FINGER ON TRIGGER?I WA SEXCITED TO GET THE GUN AND DI NOT RELZE THIS UNTIL I GOT HOME .PREVIOUS OWNE RSAID HE BOUGHT IT TO SHOOT PRODUCTION BUT NEVER GOT CHANCE WOULD LIKE SOME INPUT THANKS

Yes you can/must lower it manually for production.

10.5 Unsafe Gun Handling

10.5.9 Failure to keep the finger outside the trigger guard during loading,
reloading, or unloading. Exception: while complying with the “Make
Ready” command to lower the hammer of a gun without a decocking
lever, or while initially loading a revolver with a spurless hammer.

One thing to be aware of, not all SP01 have a hammer block. Practice dropping the hammer with muzzle in a safe direction. I sold mine because of limited feeling in my fingers. I could not always be sure I had a good hold on the hammer. I miss that gun.

i think your new handgun is resting on the shift key when you type, or it mashed the caps lock key.

but if you're gonna drop the hammer with your thumb BE CAREFUL. that last part did warrant all caps btw.
