CZ-USA.com Representative just emailed me saying that CZ hand guns are in process to be added to MA roster. He confirmed that all the handguns on the approved california roster are in process for sure.

He said to look for them later this year. I'm excited

WOOOHOO!

Below is from california's roster:

So which CZ has gotten popular with the USPSA crowd?

I believe its the CZ 75 SP-01, on that list

Great to see other manufactures bending over just to sell their products in MA. More options for buyers and retailers is always good.

The guy at CZ-usa said that these handguns were definitely on the list but that there may be other ones.

As I understand MA is slightly less stringent than California.

Maybe we'll get it.

It's great that they are going to be added to the MA Roster but what will the AG have to say about it?

I like everything on Supermotos list except the ergo part, the few mags I got to put through one I had a lot of trouble with that arc on the bottom of the trigger guard. not saying I won't be waiting for the local shop to open the day they have them in the case though [wink]

A lot of the CZs have, in relative terms, a lot of weight hanging right under the barrel. This makes them extremely soft recoiling. The CZ75B I fired a few years ago was one of the softest recoiling 9mm handguns I've ever fired.

CA went full retard not long ago, so I'm not sure how true that might be at this point.... but MA is effectively worse most of the time because of the AG's CMR940 BS, which is all arbitrary. At least the garbage in CA 's law is laid out in the law itself and not left up to much interpretation.

There are a lot more wallhacks though in the MA handgun compliance garbage, though, which does work in our favor. Even getting these guns on the EOPS roster will be a big step forward for those wanting CZs... although I'm not holding my breath.

Come on guys.. don't be getting wood over this yet.... You know the AG is going to say they are unsafe for consumers.... come on- you do know that Glocks are on the list too right? I wonder if CZ knows about that nonsense!

**** the AG. If I want one I will buy one, list or no list. Walter Sobchak (look up "I can get you a toe" on youtube. ) always comes through for me. [laugh]

Do CZ's come with a mag disconnect, 10+ lb DA trigger, or loaded chamber indicator?

The DA/SAs are 10+ in DA, so that's enough. They probably have an LCI somewhere. No mag disconnect required if you have at least 2 out of the 3.

It's not striker fired so the AG is less likely to piss on it, for starters.

I hope you are correct... I'm tired of the tiny lists we have... it's complete BS. I just wouldn't bet on it.

Any idea how much "better" the SPO1 is than a garden-variety CZ75B? I've got a 75B languishing in the back of the safe that might make a fun ESP gun.

A lot of the CZ's are SA/DA with a manual safety. The manual safety should get past the 10lb trigger. Who knows how the AG will "feel" about the lack of a decocker and the requirement to pull the trigger and lower the hammer to start off in DA.

From what I see on the CA list, if they approve list for list, the usual CZ used in USPSA is not there. I had a Shadow, I liked it but did not like lowering the hammer for Production start. With the problems I have with my hands I could see potential problems for me. I liked it for Limited Minor.

My Tanfoglio pre ban with DeCocker works better for me even with the heavy DA first shot

Edit to add: To have the custom shop make this a competitive pistol similar to the Shadow pictured with the blue grips above, you are looking at $1100 before magazines.
