So I love shooting the CZ452. It makes me look good. But as I've gotten better and more experienced I could feel the trigger dragging a bit across the sear. Not a bad trigger, mind you, but enough that I knew it could be better. So i got myself a Brooks trigger kit.

Now... I'm a software guy... although at one time I repaired older, mechanical nightmare Xerox copiers. But it has been a long time, and I'm concerned that I'll take a perfectly good rifle and turn it into a pile of nuts and bolts.

I've had the Brooks kit for a while. But tonight I made the bold move. And damn I got it installed and working! And the trigger feels so much crisper. There really is no creep in it at all. It breaks very nicely!!!

As they say... and there was much rejoicing! Off to the range to zero the scope and test her out for real.

glad to hear it works good! im ordering mine from YoDave soon. i have heard eric brooks is no longer shipping them :(

Say, does anyone know where to get an aperture sight for the CZ452? I tried ordering one from Brooks, but I never got any response (although the online ordering system charged me :-( ).

This is my new favorite .22 rifle.

I've been reading good things about the CZ452. Where did you purchase yours and were you pleased with the transaction?
Thanks,
Jim

I bought mine from Northeast Traders in Attleboro. If you are in the northern part of the state I believe there are a couple CZ dealers in southern NH.

Love the rifle.

The Brooks trigger on my CZ452 has about a 1/2 pound pull - you have to really concentrate on NOT pulling it before you're ready to shoot!

With decent ammo, 1/2" groups at 50 yards are pretty easy. I got mine from the Newington gun Exchange in CT a few years ago.

i got mine at state line gun shop in mason, nh and i couldnt be happier. its an amazingly accurate gun for good money. i added some good glass, and i plan to get a yodave trigger kit. the trigger isnt bad, i just cant help but tinker [laugh]

with match ammo i can put 5 shots in a 1/4 inch if i try hard

i got ambitious and stopped by ace hardware on my way home from work...grabbed a brass tube and went at it. after about an hour and taking apart and putting back together about 50 times test fitting....i got it to work perfect. i cant wait to get it to the range. i would have to estimate that before the trigger was pretty good, slight bit of creep...maybe 4-5 pounds. now its about 1.5 pounds and super crisp and no creep that i can tell. i bashed the butt of the gun with my hand until it hurt, and off the bench as much as i cared to, and it wouldnt fire :)

i also did a tad bit of polishing and ground a bit of the spring off.
