Can anyone offer any insight on these two ranges? Danvers Fish and Game is much closer but MFA seems to be a better range? Looking to shoot pistol/shotgun/rifle .223/5.56.

Looking for peoples overall opinions about these two clubs.

Thanks

I looked at Danvers but the hours sucked if I remember - there was a range officer requirement which limited the hours.

I applied to Andover Sportmen (which is close to Danvers F&G), it seems really nice and no range officer required to use the range.

Depending on where you live, Woburn Sportsmen is also really good, it's really in Burlington/billerica.

Are you looking for a day to shoot or to join a club.
Reasonable day rates up in Hudson, NH at Granite State Indoor Range.
Going up there this week with my Wife so she can try a few handguns there
to see which ones she wants. Want to also get her to try an AR-15 too ... LOL ...
Rob ...

Isn't Andover the one that has a 5-round mag limit? That's a deal killer for me. Not just for convenience but if I want to check to see if my mags are jamming on the 7th round, etc.

I'm still shopping clubs on the north shore. MRA is nice. Danvers has a lot of property but the hours are weird and the place had a retirement home feel to it. Cape Ann is next on my tryout list.

I believe andover lifted the 5 round limit.

I belong to MRA and Cape Ann. Cape Ann's outdoor range is open from 9 am to sundown no range officer needed at least during the week. Indoor range lead or plated bullets no magnum loads no rifle or shotgun.

I was actually considering both of these clubs since those are the 2 closest to me. I will have to consider MRA and deal with the wait since Danvers F&G requires 2 member sponsors to become a member. I am new to the community and know 0 members

Same story at Andover, 4 month wait. So many new shooters sprouting up, it's a good thing. Andover is planning a 200 yard range too.

Yep moving the pistol range over, then building a 200 yard range where it was. Moving the archery range over then trying to build a second trap field I think. They are definitely making a lot of improvements at Andover.

Having been at the club before they capped the amount that could join per month I get why they did it, it would be crazy packed and the officers had to find people to help walk everyone through it. 50+ people at a time is a lot, let alone if people can't make the orientation and want to see if they can make it up some other time.

I think they don't admit people over the summer so anyone who wants to get in before September would have to get their app in Before the June meeting I think. They might do a big acceptance of applications to catch up then, they may not I don't really know.
