Del-Ton AR-15 recievers

I have a del-ton a2 stock on my remsport lower. It was very cheap and works like a stock and buffer tube should and haven't had any issues. That being said it is not a fire control group or upper.

Del-ton has been around a while. They're about the same as Model 1 - good product and great value for the money.

Anyone know the difference between a Chrome Molly and Chrome Lined barrel? There is a $45 difference for a Del-ton upper (Chrome lined is more expensive).

Chrome-lined is more corrosion-resistant and a little easier to clean. Arguing the performance aspects of each is pretty much like a 1911 vs M9 argument.

Chrome-molybdenum steel is just the type of steel used in most AR barrels.

They make a good quality product for the price. I'll be putting one of their uppers in the classifieds next week as I'm thinning out my collection.

thanks for the feedback everyone.. looks like they may be my first AR since I am on a budget right now and want a SHF rifle in 5.56/2.23.

If your going SHF then go BCM, LMT, or even the S&W M&P series uppers.

Del-ton is great if its going to be range/plinking gun. But to get the upper at that price point they have to cut corners and use parts that may not hold up.

If price is an issue you can normally find them used on afcom and m4c.net
