As far as I'm concerned, Rep. Swalwell is not qualified to ever run for POTUS because of these loose and irresponsible remarks...

I think his gerbil fascination has gone too far and one is nawing on his brain stem, WTF are these libitard butt monkeys thinking 80% of these idiots couldn't change a tire without pulling it up on YouTube and then they think that there's a chance they could win a civil war. I think this congressman is a candidate for physc eval and a piss test.

Honestly surprised this hasn't happened more in the last 2 years... I mean we've had a few violent Dems try to assasinate conservative politicians, and that stands to reason as liberals are emotionally driven and lack foresight or self control, but I would think with the number of no-joke Socialists/Communists advocating for 50%+ taxes, illegals voting, the senate being abolished, and no-exception gun bans or what have you that there hasn't been at least ONE right winger to take things into his/her own hands. Not saying I'd approve just expressing surprise.

U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell on Friday said the U.S. government would use its nuclear weapons in a hypothetical war against Second Amendment supporters refusing to give up their firearms.

The California Democrat, who is openly considering a run for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020, made the outlandish remark on social media after a gun-rights advocate pointed out that the lawmaker once called for gun owners to surrender their assault weapons.

“So basically @RepSwalwell wants a war. Because that's what you would get. You're outta your f------ mind if you think I'll give up my rights and give the [government] all the power," Joe Biggs tweeted at Swalwell.

This prompted Swalwell to defend himself, saying it would be a “short war” because “the government has nukes,” implying the government would use its nuclear arsenal against its own citizens.

I think that any politician that threatens violence to any political group, whether they are mainstream or not, should be kicked out of office and never allowed to run again.
I don't believe in white supremacy groups. But that doesn't mean I support exterminating them because their views are different.

I agree...this libtard said what others just think. They do want to nuke us. I been saying this for years that the progressive left wants us dead either by denying us medical care ( Medicare For All ) or by trying to kill us so they can usher in a new government. Never ever give up your guns!

I grew up living in constant terror of imminent death due to full nuclear war with the USSR. So, I don't appreciate these tards bringing back those old fearful memories that I had hoped was behind us.

Swalwell’s comments are exactly what the framers were concerned with - free Americans being threatened with their own standing army via government dictat. They had personal experience of that exact situation. 1775 or 2018, tyranny will always be a threat, and the liberty concious must always remain vigilant. The calendar changes nothing in that regard. When public officials spew such drivel, they obviously feel too comfortable with using force to eliminate fellow Americans, and completely defines why the framers felt compelled to enshrine basic rights in founding documents. They knew human nature would breed those that desired total control over everyone else.
 
Why are politicians so sure of the military turning on citizens.
I can only pray the bulk of our military will up hold thier oath and give a good FU to these politicians.
It’s funny though he threatens military force against citizens but I’m sure this ass hat says Noooo to military on OUR borders BUT will most likely have no problem send young men and women to die defending some OTHER counry
