Mass Resident here. Just sold a bolt action rifle in Vt.Couldnt find an FFL in massachusetts to ship it to an FFL in VT. all claiming they dont want to take the liability on their license. (even though they state it on their website that they do these types of transactions.) So buyer and I found FFL in VT who stated , drive it up (legally of course , trigger lock and locked case) and transfer it there. He would do the rest.I am trying to record this Personal Transfer on the Massachusetts Gun Transaction Portal using the FFL's State FireArms Dealer license # and its not accepting it. I have 7 days to record this transaction. Have I now committed a crime? I tried calling the support line but nobody ever answers and I left a voicemail prior to the transaction to make sure what i was doing was legal.
