Growing up in a family of machinists and shootists we would often discuss building an autoloader from scratch using sheet goods out of the shop. My dad and granddad would use a Mac 10 as the model. bend here, pin there, simple. It was always mental masturbation and it never was built. Being the carpenter, I got the task of checkered walnut grips.

Not sure if it has been mentioned on this thread, but what's better than one shovel AK is twenty shovel AK's. NES should organize a shovel AK building party and bomb social media to ridicule all these 80% bans.
Then make it a movement: Shovel Ghost AK Challenge or something. Let there be hundreds of thousands of un-serialized, untraceable and deliciously evil AK's filling every state, county, city and towns, then organize group shoots sync'd' at clubs at national level: volley at 1200 EST Saturday. Let freedom ring! Let'em hear it!
And... Everyone will get their trunk gun!

Holding an shovel -> AK build party and then publicizing the hell out of would actually be a good FU to the gun ban nuts.
It would probably be even better if it was publicized widely among the gun ban crowd , which sounds like a job for the Chans...................

In some countries the barrel is the regulated part and shipments to such nations require serial numbered barrels.
