It's crunch time for me to decide what to do with my NES Lower so I figured I throw out a feeler.
- I don't want a standard 5.56mm AR (I already have one)
- I already have a .450 bushmaster so I'm leaning away from big bore
- I had been thinking 9mm but I just picked up a feather AT9 so I don't figure I need two 9mm carbines.

So I'm down to my final two thoughts that are worlds apart:

1) A scoped rifle in 6.5 Grendel
- Great reported accuracy
- Longer effective range than 5.56mm
- Kind of a neat oddball caliber

2) My other thought was to contact OLY Arms about going .45 ACP
- This build would be solely for the cool factor
- Rarely seen config. on an AR
- Awesome home defense and close quarters weapon

I am leaning heavily toward the Grendel, and I guess I am just looking for assurance and maybe a range report. Any thoughts/recommendation will appreciated and considered.

Thanks in advance.

Yup. The .260 Remington is based on .308, so it is a much longer cartridge case than 5.56Nato. It is not an option for an AR-15.
Correct. The JP LRP-07 AR-10 style rifle is available in .308 or .260. I considered .260, but got .308 because of ammo affordability and barrel wear issues - though at the cost of .260, barrel wear would be negligible :).

We just happen to have a 10mm upper for sale!! I don't like pistol caliber AR's but then again I don't like AR's at all anyway.
You are right, it uses an UZI mag in .41 AE , yeah, those are everywhere!!!
