I believe tictac was speaking of this thread.... it has pics.... Melting a microdot is the best way to keep a low profile dot sight... heck if you decide you don't like it just buy an extra slide.

What kind if red dot were you planning to use?
different ones have different mounts

I saw a slide on Brownells the other day that has a cut built into it for a red dot. It was also compensated.

Could be interesting to look into if you don't want to ship your original slide out.

Tell us more about what it is you are trying to accomplish. Boghog posted some info on a micro red dot on a G19, is that not what you are looking for? Are you trying to put a 4-16 power mildot scope on the slide for long range CCW?
