Just found on Netflix, new release. Peter Schiff et al are interviewed in it. Concisely explains all the issues with the financial system. 5 stars in my opinion so far.

Currently streamable.

Maybe I'm not fully understanding it but I found the ending/conclusion to be a little too sanguine. They seemed to be saying something along the lines of, "yeah, it's no big deal, just buy some gold and you'll come out OK." What about the fact that the huge majority of Americans are in debt and struggling to make ends meet, let alone invest in gold at ~1700 an ounce?

I did think there was a lot of good info in the movie and if anything it's refreshing for something like this not to be excessively doom and gloom. However, I think this one may have glossed over what could be a pretty harsh reality of an economic collapse in the short term.

I took it as, no need for a bomb shelter as this is something you can navigate through. Obviously to people in tough situations now, this isn't going to make it any better.

Seems to me that the easiest way to look at it is that the country is going to rapidly devolve into a 3rd world like situation, so be prepared to deal with that.

I watched it last night, and while their points and education of how the system works all make perfect sense, the cynical old dog marketer in me couldn't help but conclude that this was nothing more than a very sophisticated and well planned infomercial for goldmoney.com, goldsilver.com, and any other goods/services being sold by the principal cast members. The conspiracy theorist in me further finds it interesting that the film is the production company's sole project to date.

Again, I thought the commentary and backgrounder information to all be very good, but I concur with JCat's statement---the end game summary seems to be to jump on one of these folk's websites and start buying. Nothing wrong with that--just some dudes trying to make a buck ; )
