First Weapon Purchase

Hey everyone, thanks for the tips and advice. Right now I think most of the SIG stuff will put me over budget. If anyone has any low cost deals or ideas, let me know. As for the AR lower receiver, I asked my buddy about it and he said definitely to pick one up and filled me in on the reasons behind it. Will it be ridiculously difficult to put together? I'm looking at MidwayUSA and their schematics list 110 different parts for the AR-15. I'd like to pick up something .22 based, too, for practice as you've all said. What's a pretty cheap .22 pistol to get me going and keep me in budget? My father already owns a .22 rifle I have access to.

ARs are easy to put together. And if you needed help I'm sure there will be 10 people lined up from this site.
