Flash hiders

I got a good deal on a upper. It has no bayonet lug but it has a birdcage flash hider.

Evidently I have to replace it with some thing else.

Can some tell me what to replace it with?

Depends. If you want a birdcage look, I believe KNS makes a brake that's a dead ringer. If you want a little something different, you can try brakes from Troy, YHM and beyond.

It just tick's me off I have to take the bird cage off.
