Front pivot pin install.

Think I use a Wheeler. I've used a punch.
I also trim 1/8" off the spring because they're so close to being coil bound it's ridiculous.

I've always used a Allen key to hold it till i pushed the Allen key out with the pin. I've only had it go flying once

Last week I was replacing the backspacer in my Demko 2.5 knife when the spring launched itself. I found the spring on my workbench and started again. The next time that spring launched itself, I think it wound up on the floor, but I couldn’t find it. I did find a Glock extractor-plunger assembly that launched itself over a year ago…

The tool I have I got years ago, it's literally a steel rod with a tiny hole in one end. I'll tell ya we're getting spoiled, I bought two Aero stripped lowers and they have threaded pins for the bolt stop.

I have the AR15 Armorers Toolkit.. some really neat things in there.. including this gizmo.. Was great for me where I didn't have anything to start.
